The outbreak of electric forklifts in the past two years has benefited from breakthroughs in key technologies of domestic electric forklifts. In the past period of time, the core electronic control, motor, and battery technologies of electric forklifts have been an important factor hindering the development of electric forklifts in China, especially the electric control system, which is a core component, has long been monopolized by foreign brands. With the increase in sales volume of domestic electric forklifts in recent years, domestic accessories have continuously made breakthroughs in technology.
The development of domestic electric forklifts stimulates technological progress, which also feeds back to the market.
At present, with the increase in market share and technological progress of electric forklifts, it is widely believed in the industry that the electrification of forklifts is a major trend in the future, as the country and society increase environmental standards for enterprise production and transform economic development models. Compared to developed countries, there is still room for improvement in the electrification rate of forklifts in China. From the current situation, the technological development direction of electric forklifts mainly includes the following aspects:
(1) Lithium electrification
Driven by multiple factors such as the acceleration of forklift electrification, continuous decline in power lithium battery prices, and increasingly strict regulation of the lead-acid industry, forklift lithium-ion electrification has become an obvious trend in industry development.
(2) Serialization
The obvious manifestation of the serialization of forklifts is the variety. At present, well-known foreign brands are gradually completing their product serialization, forming products with different standards from miniature to oversized. At the same time, the cycle of product updates has significantly shortened. At present, many domestic forklift host companies are consciously carrying out product serialization work.
(3) Customization
Customization refers to providing targeted product features that are suitable for customer use based on customer or work environment requirements. For example, customized batteries with different capacities, fork specifications, and even vehicle models according to the customer's operating conditions.
(4) Unmanned and intelligent
Affected by the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent warehousing, electric forklifts are also moving towards unmanned and intelligent directions. Through the application of increasingly powerful and constantly upgraded onboard computer hardware and software, electric forklifts have been able to achieve functions such as automatic guidance, automatic driving, route optimization, automatic operation, vehicle scheduling, safe collision avoidance, automatic wireless charging, and automatic diagnosis.
Undoubtedly, in the context of product restructuring across the industry and accelerated development of forklift electrification, relevant enterprises will break through the technological and performance limitations of electric forklifts, provide more diverse vehicle models, and bring more possibilities for industry applications.
